Taney County Health Department (TCHD) encourages every Taney County resident to participate in a survey focused on chronic disease-related issues, including substance misuse, tobacco use, physical inactivity, healthy eating, and access to chronic disease management services. The survey serves as an initial step in assessing local health needs as part of TCHD’s new Building Communities for Better Health (BCBH) program through Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (MDHSS). Participation in the survey will ensure the resulting data accurately reflects the health concerns and priorities of Taney County residents.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to better understand the health needs and priorities of Taney County,” shares Kendra Findley, BCBH Program Coordinator at TCHD. “The feedback received will help shape initiatives that reflect the concerns of Taney County residents. We appreciate everyone who takes the time to share their perspectives as we work together to improve health outcomes and quality of life in our community.”

Survey Details:

  • Reponses will be confidential.
  • Approximately 20 questions.
  • Available online or on paper. Paper copies are offered at both TCHD locations; the digital version can be accessed here.
  • Residents may choose to enter a drawing for a gift card after completing the survey.

TCHD is working with local partner agencies and organizations to promote and distribute the survey throughout the community. Collaborative efforts like this will make a lasting impact on Taney County’s future health. Questions regarding the survey can be directed to TCHD’s Community Outreach Division at 417-334-4544 ext. 594.
