Every spring, Taney County Health Department (TCHD) compiles an Annual Report of all that was accomplished in the previous year. The year 2025 was especially worthy of celebration. While public health often works behind the scenes to protect the health and well-being of the community, the TCHD Annual Report brings those efforts to the forefront and illustrates their impact. Regardless of special notice, TCHD continues to care, serve, and protect Taney County every day of the year.

TCHD and the Taney County community thrived in 2025, and the numbers tell the story:

  • 17,130 women, infants, and children participated in the WIC nutrition program, establishing strong starts for local families
  • 574 women received vital services through our women’s health programs, encouraging wellbeing at each milestone
  • 41 families learned about car seat safety, with 44 car seats distributed, keeping our littlest residents protected from harm
  • 1,500+ individuals trained in suicide prevention since 2022 through QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer), benefiting the mental health of the whole community
  • 1,000+ doses of Narcan distributed since 2022, saving lives and combating the opioid crisis
  • 1,863 health inspections conducted, guaranteeing local businesses safely serving the community
  • 616 water samples tested, ensuring safe drinking water to families across Taney County

“Your local health department is working diligently all year to improve health outcomes for Taney County” shares Lisa Marshall, TCHD Director. “We are honored to serve the community and proud of our team’s impact, every day.”

TCHD will continue its steadfast commitment to supporting the health and wellbeing of Taney County. Promoting healthy lifestyles, preventing illnesses, and working alongside community partners is what TCHD does best.
