Building Communities for Better Health Program Coordinator
TCHD is seeking a part-time (32 hours per week), non-exempt BCBH Program Coordinator.

TCHD is seeking a part-time, non-exempt BCBH (Building Communities for Better Health Program) Coordinator (32 hours per week) to manage program activities, foster partnerships, and ensure contract deliverables are met to reduce the chronic disease burden in Taney County. This initiative focuses on improving chronic disease-related health outcomes by engaging the community in prevention strategies that address social drivers of health through policy, system, and environmental changes. This position is funded through a public health grant and is contingent upon continued grant funding.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate program activities in alignment with contractual requirements.
- Monitor progress toward deliverables and prepare timely reports for funders and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with program requirements and maintain accurate documentation.
- Build and maintain relationships with local public health agencies, community organizations, and stakeholders.
- Facilitate community-driven processes to identify priorities and develop a chronic disease prevention plan.
- Provide guidance on chronic disease prevention strategies and promote best practices.
- Coordinate meetings, trainings, and collaborative activities within Taney County.
- Represent TCHD at community meetings and events, sharing public health information and resources.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, health education, community health, or a related field.
- 2 years in program coordination, contract/grant management, or public health initiatives preferred.
- Knowledge of chronic disease prevention and associated risk factors.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to engage communities and stakeholders effectively.
